Science and Energy
AEI’s science, energy, and environment scholars examine the diverse intersections between the government and the scientific enterprise with a view toward understanding and improving that relationship to support the increase of common sense solutions to the most pressing social, technical, and scientific challenges of the day. Our research subjects include the role of the government investment in science, the effects of science and technology on democracy, the role of expertise in governance and representation, the state and politics of climate science, the energy transition, energy economics, and energy regulation.
