Basierend auf einer wahren Geschichte.

Im Jahre 1950 beginnt der Krieg zwischen Südkorea und Nordkorea. Der Schüler Oh Jang-Beom meldet sich freiwillig zum Wehrdienst und steht als Versorgungsmann sowohl hinter als auch an der Front. Als er nach langen Kämpfen und viel Leid zur Schule zurückkehrt, ist er schwer vom Krieg gezeichnet. Dann erfährt er von ehemaligen Vorgesetzten, dass nordkoreanische Truppen auf dem Weg nach Pohang sind, um die Stadt als strategisch günstigen Punkt zu sichern. Als einer der wenigen mit Kampferfahrung wird Jang-Beom Anführer einer Schülerarmee, die die Schule nicht kampflos übergeben wollen. Und so kommt es unweigerlich zur Schlacht: 71 Schüler gegen hunderte nordkoreanische Soldaten.
