Trip Details

Join us for a powerful journey through Mexico City—a place where centuries of resistance, creativity, and cultural identity shape one of the most dynamic capitals in the Americas. This thoughtfully curated tour explores the intersections of politics, art, and community in a country confronting its past while forging a bold new future.

Meet with activists, artists, and historians who are engaging with some of the most pressing issues facing Mexico today: human rights, gender justice, environmental sustainability, and indigenous autonomy. Learn about the historic election of Claudia Sheinbaum—Mexico’s first female president—and what her victory means for a nation grappling with systemic inequality and the legacy of state violence.

Explore the Mexican Muralism Movement as a revolutionary form of public education, walk in the footsteps of iconic revolutionaries and artists—from Trotsky’s final refuge to Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul, and visit grassroots organizations working on behalf of migrants, women, and marginalized communities. Along the way, experience Mexico’s rich and creative food scene, from street markets to restaurants led by chefs dedicated to preserving native ingredients and food sovereignty.

An optional two-day extension to Oaxaca deepens the journey, highlighting indigenous resistance, women-led artisan cooperatives, and efforts to protect traditional culture from the pressures of globalization.

This is not just a tour—it’s a deeper look at a country shaped by struggle and sustained by its people’s creative and collective spirit.
