MAUSTON, Wis.—A $25,000 reward for information leading to whoever killed a Juneau County teacher two decades ago is being offered by former student Marc Andreessen, who went on to co-found the pioneering Web browser Netscape Navigator.
Authorities recently announced reopening the investigation into the death of 30-year-old Barbara Blackstone. She taught at New Lisbon High School and lived with her husband in rural Lyndon Station before disappearing July 9, 1987.
A hunter found her body about a month later some 80 miles away in Lafayette County.
Andreessen said Blackstone was the best teacher and he hopes the reward helps bring justice.
The Juneau and Lafayette county sheriff’s offices and the state Division of Criminal Investigation are conducting the reopened investigation.
