Featuring stand-alone dramas -- sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales that explore techno-paranoia -- "Black Mirror" is a contemporary reworking of "The Twilight Zone" with stories that tap into the collective unease about the modern world. Each story features its own cast of unique characters, including stars like Bryce Dallas Howard ("The Help"), Alice Eve, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tom Cullen and Jerome Flynn ("Game of Thrones"). Joe Wright, Dan Trachtenberg, and James Watkins are among the featured directors.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Responding to a world that's become just as technologically anxious as one of its speculative horror stories, Black Mirror refreshingly tacks toward more humanistic and hopeful tales in a superb return to form.

John Nugent Empire Magazine Charlie Brooker is still pulling the rug from under our feet in thrillingly ambitious ways. This is another eye-popping, brain-melting run of episodes.  Rated: 4/5 Apr 15, 2025 Full Review Carol Midgley Times (UK) This will probably be the one that excites the fandom the most, particularly due to its ending. Rated: 4/5 Apr 15, 2025 Full Review Dan Einav Financial Times While episodes such as “Common People” and “Eulogy” show that Brooker is still able to deliver a satirical bite and emotional punch, the once far-seeing series now feels a little predictable Rated: 3/5 Apr 12, 2025 Full Review Jeff York The Establishing Shot Perhaps the makers took a glance at the world and discovered far too much tragedy and corruption and thus realized that they could never trump such awfulness. So...most of the episodes this season traffic in a generous amount of grace. Rated: 3.5/4 Apr 15, 2025 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider It is deeply-realized science fiction, with top-notch writing, direction, and casting. Apr 14, 2025 Full Review Andrew Murray The Upcoming By delivering a mixture of thought-provoking concepts and tender human drama, this series is shaping up to be the best that it’s ever been. Audience Member Like seasons before, there are some duds and some winners in this season. Conceptually some of the stories are GREAT and well worth your viewing time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/15/25 Full Review Nicholas C Predictable... really frustrating when they put out a great couple seasons then just milk the cow with half ass productions. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review Kaio L Muito boa série , prende os usuários!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review Audience Member It wasn't my favorite season but I thoroughly enjoyed each episode ... more than 95% of what's on series lately Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review Carlo B Excuse my English, I am writing from Italy. It's one of my favorite series, and it is so dystopian and sometimes circular that while watching the first episode of the seventh season I imagined that with a twist the husband filmed the last 5 minutes and put it (crying) on the web for a fee. In the continuation of the episode as well his arrest and then ad libitum, until the arrival as a prison visitor of the season's Netflix director. With these writers anything is to be expected. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review Mina P Common People will make you cry. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/14/25 Full Review Read all reviews
