Dolly Varden campground to close for renovation

The boat launch and main entrance will remain open.

Dolly Varden Campground, located north of Sterling down Swanson River Road, will be closed for construction from May 28 to June 27.

A news release from the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge says renovations planned for the campground, including replacement of culverts, improvement of roads and repair of campsites will trigger the closure of the campground from 8 a.m. on Wednesday through noon on June 27.

While the campground is closed, the boat launch and main entrance will remain open.
