My goal is a government that's responsive to Iowans. Instead of operating in secret and denying responsibility for decisions, I'll put Iowa government back on the road to openness for all citizens. Here are examples of ways I would combine services, cut waste, eliminate duplication and create the kind of accountable government I will demand:
We should provide kids programs jointly with faith-based and community-based agencies statewide.
To meet our goal of becoming the healthiest state, we should combine Medicaid, Mental Health and Health care into a new Department of Healthy Iowans.
