Please complete this form to request an online Sports Representation Letter from the UCC Department of Sport and Physical Activity. If a Club member is required to represent UCC in key competitions and be absent from a class/lecture, the Student can apply for a Sports Representation Letter to present details to the relevant lecturer.
The final agreement to facilitate a student in this process rests with the relevant lecture. A student should ensure they apply at the earliest opportunity and provide as much notice as is possible to allow the lecturer time to consider the application. The note does not guarantee a lecture will be recorded. This will be a matter for the lecturer to agree to. We would request that this could be considered where possible.
We appreciate the facilitation of students to participate in their sporting activity and to avail of any opportunities to access their lecture online or otherwise, where possible. We recognise that a student is responsible for following up on any lecture or practical missed and thank all concerned for the support to allow them to balance both their academic and sporting aims.
Please ensure you fill out the form correctly and in its entirety
For a one day event / fixture the start and end date is the same.
e.g. if a fixture is on 10th November then the start date is 10th November and end date is 10th November
If there are fixtures over multiple days then the start date is date of travel and end date is date of last fixture.
e.g. if games/event on 10,11,12th – team/group travelling on evening of 9th and returning evening of 12th – then their start date is 9th and end date is 12th.
A Sports Representation Letter can be granted to Students that are representing UCC at a recognised sporting event.
Sports Representation Letters will only be issued by DSPA prior to the event concerned.
