Abdelhamid Tayebi Tayebi

Dr. Tayebi obtained his PhD in 2011. Since 2019, he has held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. Throughout his career, he has completed several international academic stays, including Hong Kong in 2011, Lisbon in 2014, and Liverpool in 2024. Dr. Tayebi has participated in more than 40 research projects, most of them funded through competitive public calls, as well as in collaboration with Spanish and European companies, serving as principal investigator in seven of them. His scientific contributions are reflected in the publication of 38 articles in prestigious international journals indexed in JCR, most of which are of high impact, as well as in the authorship of two books and one book chapter. His work includes the development of advanced technological tools, particularly in artificial intelligence, and the commercialization of electromagnetic simulation software. He has addressed key topics such as machine learning and algorithmic optimization. His current research focuses on web tools for radio propagation analysis, artificial intelligence, accessibility, and user-centered design. He holds two research productivity periods (sexenios) for the years 2008–2013 and 2014–2019. Dr. Tayebi is currently co-supervising five doctoral theses, demonstrating his strong commitment to training new researchers and advancing knowledge in his field. Dr. Tayebi has extensive experience in the design and implementation of user-centered web tools, as well as in the application of various AI techniques, including natural language processing, text mining, evolutionary algorithms, deep learning, and neural networks. In addition to his academic focus, he has led technological development and innovation activities that have had a direct impact on society. His research has resulted in practical simulation tools and applications for industries such as precision agriculture, showcasing the effective transfer of knowledge to the industry. He is currently participating in the INNOVATRAD project, "Human-AI Interaction: Research and Innovation in Real-Time Discourse Generation, Interpretation, and Translation”. His efforts have resulted in a series of publications that have not only contributed to advancing scientific knowledge but have also directly impacted the technological domain, providing innovative and practical solutions. This approach, aligned with the DORA principles, highlights his commitment to the quality and relevance of research, positively impacting both academia and society.
