My scientific interests focuses on the soil/plant interface in (natural and anthropogenic) metal-enriched ecosystems, particularly in the tropics. This interest includes aspects of soil chemistry, biopathways, metal speciation, rhizosphere, plant ecology, ecophysiology, and taxonomy. Particularly biogeochemistry, rhizosphere processes and the distribution of plants on edaphic gradients in tropical ecosystems.
