Ruairidh Duncan is a PhD candidate and palaeoartist at Monash University and Museums Victoria. He primarily works on the earliest ancestors of baleen whales found in Victoria and throughout the Pacific from the Oligocene: the toothed mysticetes. With a particular interest in mammalodontids, a small, large-eyed, short-snouted family found only in Australasia. Ruairidh has also worked on herbivorous dinosaurs from the Victorian Cretaceous and is keenly interested in the polar regions.
