○ Positive Points ・You can feel a dedication to ramen 〇 Additional Information ・Doesn't look like a traditional ramen shop ○ Parking Available ○ Rules No entry for children under 10 years old This ramen shop is located in Mie Prefecture, toward the mountains of Matsusaka, near the Iitaka roadside station. The appearance does not resemble that of a typical ramen shop. It seems to have been a former café or something similar? Unless you look it up, I doubt many people would think to enter, assuming it’s a ramen shop. The parking lot is spacious, allowing for easy access to the store. Inside, the ambiance is somewhat cluttered and not very organized. There are only 7 seats at the counter. I was seated at the counter, and upon checking the menu, there are about 6 types of ramen. There are also side menu items available, so I purchased tickets from the vending machine. This time, I ordered the following: [b:〇 Seafood Shio (JPY 950)] In contrast to the casual atmosphere inside, it was served on a tray. Ingredients: Separate servings of 3 chashu, menma, iwakawa nori, and narutomaki. The chashu had a robust flavor that was delicious on its own. Noodles: Thin, straight noodles They have a delightful slippery texture that breaks easily. The flavor was quite good and aligns with my preference. Soup: Niboshi, scallop, and kombu kelp broth The gentle umami of the scallops spreads through the soup. I wondered if it had a slight scent of katsuobushi, but it was an addictive soup. Adding the iwakawa nori changes the flavor, bringing a lovely depth and enhancing the taste. [b:〇 Chicken Shoyu (JPY 950)] Ingredients: Also presented separately with 3 chashu, menma, and narutomaki. Noodles: Are they the same? Soup: Soy sauce, chicken bone, and meat broth The rich umami from the chicken and meat is substantial. The soy sauce is reasonably strong, but the balance is remarkable without overpowering the broth. The owner has a rough demeanor. However, in contrast to the randomness of the shop, the ramen served is of high quality. There’s no doubt about the dedication to ramen here. The location might be less favorable, but it's hard to find ramen of such quality elsewhere. I feel that this shop deserves much more popularity.
