I visited Komeda Coffee Ten for the first time in about 10 years. While wandering around not knowing what to eat for dinner, I stumbled upon this glowing gem in the dark rice fields. Since I wanted something meal-like, I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce along with their signature item: Shiro Noir and coffee. Being a coffee shop, I thought I should order it even if it meant I wouldn’t be able to sleep later—such is adult life. ◎ The spaghetti with meat sauce had a wonderfully mild and gentle flavor. It’s the kind of dish that no one could possibly dislike! ◎ The Shiro Noir was delightful! The warm brioche or danish part contrasted perfectly with the cool soft serve ice cream. Who came up with this combination? The menu is diverse and fun! Unlike those snobby cafés, everything about this peaceful place warms the heart. It’s an oasis in everyday life. I had a truly wonderful evening. ☆ On the way back, I listened to Tom Waits' 'The Heart of Saturday Nights.' I think I’ll sleep well tonight.
