Genki Gohan Nagisa to Sally ◼️ May 2025 A set meal restaurant located in Morisaki, in a residential area near Kinugasa Street. 8-minute walk from Kitakurihama Station. Opening hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (Last Order at 2:00 PM). Closed on Sundays and Mondays. Opened in August 2024. The name might be derived from the names of two female staff members. The interior has a cozy, small eatery vibe, but also hints of a former sushi restaurant. In front of the open kitchen, there is a refrigerated display case filled with side dishes. There are 6 wooden counter seats, a small raised area with a table for 3-4 people, and one table for 6. On the tables, you’ll find condiments, toothpicks, tissue boxes, and the menu. Soft background music can be heard from the kitchen area. The restaurant is non-smoking. I visited on a weekday at 12:50 PM and found 2 groups of 5 customers ahead of me. The clientele included older men, local middle-aged men, and younger couples. There were 2 middle-aged female staff members, who were quite ordinary. Main menu items (tax included) are as follows: 【Eat-in】 - Affordable Omusubi Set: JPY 600 - Fried Chicken Set Meal: JPY 800 - Grilled Mackerel Set Meal: JPY 900 - Ginger Pork Set Meal: JPY 900 - Omurice & Roast Beef & Soup: JPY 1200 - Wagyu Roast Beef Rice Bowl: JPY 1500 - Chicken Steak with Lemon Butter Sauce: JPY 1300 (A la carte: JPY 1100) - Weekly Omakase Meal (with fried horse mackerel in sweet vinegar sauce): JPY 1300 - Large rice portion: additional JPY 50 【Takeout】 - Various Omusubi: JPY 150 Payment is made after the meal. I ordered the Grilled Mackerel Set Meal. Grilled Mackerel: A small, fatty grilled mackerel, possibly from Norway. Served with a generous helping of grated daikon topped with soy sauce. Quite delicious. Small Side Dish: A simmered dish of konjac, beans, kombu, and carrots. Let’s just pretend I didn’t notice that (not a fan). Rice: Good quality rice, cooked a bit firm, just right. Portion size is normal. Pork Miso Soup: Contains a small amount of pork, daikon, and carrots. Tastes quite good. Overall, it was quite tasty. In today’s world, this offers great value for money. Next time I visit, I’d like to try the Omurice & Roast Beef & Soup.
