マックで変則ハワイアン。 : McDonald's Fujisawa Honcho Ten

Before playing at the heated pool, I stopped by McDonald's Fujisawa Honcho with my younger son for a quick meal. I wanted to arrive a bit earlier, but we ended up entering right at noon. Most of the good seats were already taken, but luckily we found an available four-person table just in time. For my order, I chose the "Hawaiian Burgers" series, specifically the "Chopped Potato & Beef Black Pepper Cream Cheese" (set, JPY 830), which I had been slightly intrigued by after seeing it advertised recently. I upgraded the fries for an additional JPY 40 to "Shaka Shaka Potato® Hawaiian Barbecue Flavor." I ordered a "Happy Set" (JPY 490) for my younger son, customizing it to remove the onions from the hamburger. He had orange juice as the drink and selected Pokémon for the toy. Being a Pokémon fan, he knew exactly what he wanted. After receiving a number 4 card, we returned to our table, and within a minute, the food was served. I couldn’t help but exclaim, "That was fast!" to which the staff replied, "It is fast!" After realizing that we hadn’t gone to the restroom yet, we returned to our seats and started to eat. Missing out on fresh food is a common occurrence when you have kids. The hamburger had a structure of Hawaiian barbecue sauce on top, a potato patty, thick beef, cheddar cheese, and cream cheese sauce. Its appearance was rather plain, and it could use some colorful vegetables. The taste was passable. Each component of the hamburger wasn't bad, but together, there was a sense that something was missing, leaving a somewhat unsatisfactory impression. The fries were packaged in a bag labeled "Shaka Shaka Potato®" for a good shake. I wonder how many years it's been since I did this. With the original saltiness as a base, a bit of spiciness from chili sauce was added, making it quite tasty. It reminded me of Calbee's "Pizza Potato" flavor. My younger son finished his first Happy Set impressively. It seemed he had awakened to the deliciousness of hamburgers. When we took the toy out of the bag, as he wished, it was the "Captain Pikachu's Twirling Water Wheel." I exited the store with my always cheerful son. This McDonald's, conveniently located along the national road with a drive-through, has a colorful interior adorned with cheerful displays that gives it a warmth not found in other locations. While I didn’t find the hamburger I ate today to be particularly appealing, my overall impression of the restaurant has certainly improved. It's easy to understand why there is a steady stream of take-out customers. Next time I'm in the area with my kids, I’ll definitely stop by again. [Visited on 2024.8.12]
