You can enjoy your meal while watching the chef prepare dishes at the counter. There's a small tatami seating area behind, but I haven't sat there. Each time I visit, I experience an array of dishes made with different broth, each time exquisitely flavored. The chef's palate and sense of taste are truly impressive. However, I find the seasoning a bit strong; a lighter flavor would be better, but perhaps the dishes are designed with the idea of pairing them with drinks in mind (even though I don't drink). The chef is chatty and has a unique personality. He is passionate about using top-quality ingredients, and his insights about them are quite impressive. Dining while hearing about the day's ingredients makes for an enjoyable experience, and sitting at a table would diminish that joy. I often end up purchasing ingredients he recommends after the meal. He talks non-stop, yet he skillfully prepares the food. However, the presentation lacks refinement. The restaurant’s appearance is quite unassuming; you might miss it if you don't know it's there, suggesting that he may not place much importance on exteriors. Portion sizes are generous, so make sure to arrive with an appetite.
