Every time we visit the tomb in Tamana, we have the tradition of stopping by Tsukasa no Yu on the way back. After paying our respects in the sweltering heat and sweating a lot while waiting at the ramen shop, I was really happy to be able to refresh myself before heading home.✨ ✨This is a natural hot spring with flowing water.✨ Tamana Onsen, famous for its beauty water, was once known as Riganji Onsen, and it has been flowing for over 1300 years. It has a colorless and transparent quality, with a slightly smooth texture, and it is said to be effective for rheumatism and neuralgia as a weakly alkaline simple hot spring. On the upper floor, there are large banquet halls available for various ceremonies and celebrations. We usually hold memorial services for my grandmother and parents here along with our visits to the tomb. This time, we opted for a quick meal at the first-floor restaurant with a ticket vending system. ◾️Wagyu 100% Hamburg Steak Set Meal (JPY 1450) + Draft Beer (on promotion from JPY 630 to JPY 500) I forgot to take a picture, but the kids ordered tempura udon, and my husband ordered meat udon. ◾️When you order a meal, you get free access to the soft drink bar!✨╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ The udon and hamburg steak are surprisingly delicious! What I love about Tsukasa is that their rice is also excellent! (✌︎'ω')✌︎ After enjoying a can of beer while relaxing after the bath, I felt truly great and fell asleep on the way home. Thanks, Dad! At the souvenir corner, I picked up three types of cheese buns from Maeda's snack shop! Since it was evening, they were almost sold out! They’re priced at JPY 250 each, which is quite a bit on the higher side, but judging by posts on Instagram and Facebook, they seem quite popular. It looks like they mainly sell through mobile sales and special product corners like this, as well as online shopping. After some research, I found out that this shop was started by a lady who loved cheese buns while working in school lunches. ❤︎ They contain no additives and only have a shelf life of about 2 days, but the cheese is rich, and the dough is made from locally sourced ingredients—definitely delicious! It’s not overly sweet with a sharp white sugar flavor, but rather has a gentle sweetness from cane sugar that is comforting. In addition, I bought some naturally brewed sweet sake and vinegar from Kumamoto as souvenirs for my in-laws.✨ With all my fatigue gone and my skin glowing, I enjoyed delicious food and brought back wonderful souvenirs. I highly recommend Tsukasa no Yu!
