Visit Date: 2021.11.21 (Sun) 13:00 I went to the popular bakery "Kona to Cream Ishigama Yume Kobo Shimotsuma" to buy some bread! Locally, we refer to it as "Kona Kuri." I've visited this place many times, but this is my first review. (Better late than never...) By the way, I stopped by here again last week on my way back from Sano and Tatebayashi. I visited around lunchtime this time, and it was crowded! Also, due to infection prevention measures, there was a bit of a delay in the line as they asked us to keep our distance, but considering the current situation, that's understandable... Last week, when I visited around 4 PM, most items were sold out, but since I came around 1 PM this time, there was a lot to choose from! Now, here’s what I purchased: ● Sunuma Anpan (JPY 110) x2 I remembered enjoying a freshly baked, warm anpan when a friend gave it to me before, but this time it was pre-packaged and cold. (Haha) I wish I could have that freshly made anpan again... However, the sweetness of the smooth red bean paste was subtle and delicious. Rating: 3.5 Although it states 'Sunuma,' there is Sunuma Park nearby and the now-closed Sunuma Sun Beach. ● Walnut Bread (JPY 100) The dough has a slight sheen to it, and it’s packed with walnuts... It has a lovely flower shape and is very reasonably priced! ● Dark Cherry Danish (JPY 150) This is a dark cherry danish. The cute heart shape made of dark cherry is delightful... and it’s sprinkled with sugar on the outside. ● Stone-Baked Pizza A (JPY 160) This is a pizza bread baked in a stone oven!! I bought this last week as well and found it so delicious that I had to get it again. ● Mushroom Demi-Glace Burger (JPY 350) Burgers from a bakery are simply the best!! This time, I chose the mushroom demi-glace burger. The buns were delicious, and although the patty was cold, it was juicy and tasty!! The balance of the demi-glace sauce was perfect! Rating: 3.7 ● Stone-Baked Baguette (JPY 220) I was happy to be able to purchase this as it was sold out last week! It had a rich flavor and a great texture! I even dipped it in a cup of Taiwanese noodle soup, which was the best!! Rating: 3.5 ● Crust of Bread (Free) This was available next to the cash register as a service, so I took some. When I got home, I fried them in oil and enjoyed them as a rusk. I believe not throwing away the bread crust contributes to SDGs. Wonderful!! It was a great meal!! (^q^)
