Exploring Soba Restaurants in Tsukuba City
I often pass by this area by car and was aware of the restaurant's existence, but this was my first visit. The interior was much cleaner and more pleasant than the exterior. Now, let me talk about what I ordered from the lunch menu: ◆ Mini Katsu Rice Bowl Lunch Set - JPY 1,080, tax Included Includes mori or kake soba, baby greens, and pickles. I chose the mori soba. It's said to be Hitachi soba made with a 80:20 buckwheat ratio. The visual appeal of the soba was quite good, and while the flavor and texture were decent, I personally prefer it to be a bit firmer. However, considering it's summer soba for August, it was sufficient. As for the katsu bowl, I wonder if it was made ahead of time? The seasoning was just right—not too salty or sweet, which I liked, but the katsu was lacking that crispy texture. Then I suddenly noticed that the baby greens hadn’t arrived. Right, I've been trying to eat fiber first for my health lately. When I mentioned this to the staff, they casually replied, "They are on break today." Break? That made me laugh! Overall, the soba here is quite tasty.

Mini Katsu Rice Bowl & Warm Soba I really wanted to have a Katsu Don and a type of Tanuki Soba, so I revisited this place. The Katsu Don might be a bit soggy, but it tastes great, and the rice is exceptionally delicious. It seems they use Hojo rice. The soba is quite tasty as well! I was thoroughly satisfied.
