Sasaki Seika's Senbei
Located in Ichinoseki City, this traditional Japanese sweets shop was established in 1957. Their main product is a wheat-based sembei (rice cracker). Business hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM. One of the offerings is the Meidai Atsuyaki (Almond), a type of sembei. Although it is based on wheat flour and not a rice cracker, it has a Japanese sweets vibe with a hint of Western pastry influence. As the name suggests, it's baked thicker than usual. It's more like a very crispy pancake rather than traditional sembei. Due to the use of eggs, margarine, and sugar, it has a pancake-like flavor. Sliced almonds are layered on top, adding a crunchy texture to the already crispy sembei. Each piece is large and filling, providing a satisfying bite. Each pack contains three pieces.

The Meidai Atsuyaki (Peanut) is a type of baked confectionery. This version features peanuts. It's a wheat flour-based senbei, enriched with eggs and margarine, giving it a sweet, cookie-like finish. The amount of peanuts with their skins is less compared to the Daimyo senbei, but you can still fully enjoy the crunchy texture of the peanuts. Each pack contains 2 pieces.
