Today's outing is in Kitanon, Kiyota District. It's about a 10-minute walk from Nangou 18 Chome Station. I often pass through this area by car, but it's been around 20 years since I've come here to drink. On the way from the station, I was tempted by the enticing smells of Kentucky Fried Chicken, conveyor belt sushi, and ramen—quite stimulating for my empty stomach. There seem to be more dining options in the Nangou 18 Chome area than I expected. I was running slightly late, so I hurried to the restaurant, just in time to meet my friends waiting for me. I took my seat and we kicked off the evening with a beer toast (⌯︎¤̴̶̷̀ω¤̴̶̷́)✧︎ For our orders, we chose: ◾︎Konoyoshi Pork Salad ◾︎Simple Regular Hamburg Steak 250g ◾︎Luxurious Steak with Yam Wasabi Soy Sauce 200g The Konoyoshi Pork Salad features grilled vegetables like pumpkin, turnip, and eggplant on a bed of lettuce, which is fantastic. The pork is well-cooked and has a great finish. I ordered the half portion, but it's surprisingly filling. The hamburg steak is bursting with juices‼️ You can tell just by looking at it that it's delicious. The demi-glace sauce is simply outstanding. And the accompanying Neapolitan spaghetti is incredibly tasty. I'd love to have just that dish on its own (￣∇￣) The steak comes with a sweet sauce and a hint of yam wasabi. While I often come for lunch for Western food, being able to order a la carte dishes and enjoy drinks adds to its appeal. Still, I believe hamburg steak is best enjoyed with rice.
