On Sunday, April at 10:20, I made a surprise visit to Soba Kobo Shino, just 10 minutes before opening. I used to stop by here on my way to Narita Airport before going on overseas trips, but I hadn't had the opportunity to come since COVID hit. Upon entering right after opening, I was shown to a table in the raised seating area. I quickly ordered the double portion of the Ni-hachi soba. Along with my tea, I was served roasted buckwheat kernels, which were tasty and fragrant. I couldn't resist grabbing some in my hand and snacking on them. After about 10 minutes, my soba arrived, looking great and appetizing. As I twirled the soba, I found it well-drained and firm, pairing wonderfully with the dipping sauce. Adding a touch of wasabi provided a delightful accent. Just as I was finishing, I was pleasantly surprised to receive some soba broth and more buckwheat flour, allowing me to adjust the sauce's thickness to my liking. I enjoyed every last bit in no time. Would I want to come back? Absolutely 100% (this place is a famous soba restaurant). It was a great meal!
