Lately, I feel like I've been eating nothing but meat. (It's not just a feeling, it’s a fact.) I’ve been craving fish instead. But there aren’t any places like Himono Terrace in my neighborhood. I wasn't in the mood for sushi, so I searched for "fish set meals" nearby. And that's how I discovered this restaurant. Wow, I didn’t know there was a seafood-focused set meal place nearby! I decided to check it out right away. There were 4 parking spots right in front of the restaurant and another 6 a short distance away. I was lucky to find a spot right in front—what good fortune! The restaurant was moderately busy, mostly with families. Even on a weekday, it was bustling. This had me hopeful. Looking at the menu, I ordered the grilled mackerel with grated daikon and green onion ponzu sauce, and my side dishes were deep-fried eggplant and agedashi tofu. My companion chose the grilled salmon set with a salad of crispy Korean seaweed and deep-fried chikuwa (fish cake). Though it took a little while to be served, the fish was seasoned perfectly, with the skin wonderfully crispy and the flesh tender and delicious. There were hardly any bones, either. In addition to grated daikon and green onions, there was also a little shiso leaf on top, adding a nice refreshing touch. All the side dishes were tasty, and I was very satisfied. I especially loved the agedashi tofu—it was fluffy and had a light coating, and the broth was delicious! The rice and miso soup (Wait, it’s not red miso even though we’re in Nagoya?) were also tasty! I’m not fond of the mobile ordering system when placing my order (so annoying!), but the flavor was top-notch, and I’d love to come back again. It was a great meal!
