I had some errands to run, so I stopped by for a quick dinner. I arrived at 5:30 PM on a weekday. There were no customers ahead of me and only two others came in after. I ordered the Kamakura-style fettuccine carbonara with thick-cut bacon as an a la carte item. There was a focaccia set option, but it came with an all-you-can-drink option that I didn't choose. After placing my order, I had some concerns about the portion size, so I added a Catalana. To my surprise, the carbonara sauce was quite thin. Those who prefer a lighter consistency might enjoy it. Since I opted for fettuccine, the portion was massive! It felt like no matter how much I ate, it wouldn’t disappear. By the time I finished the Catalana, I was so full I could barely move. I had envisioned the Catalana as a creamy, crispy pudding, but here it was more like an ice cake, served alongside pistachio ice cream. I wonder if I should have gone with spaghetti instead. It was a great meal! I wanted to try the focaccia, but if the pasta filled me up this much, I wouldn't have made it to the focaccia anyway…
