Closed on Mondays starting in June.
Today, I brought a friend with me. We arrived just after 12:00. There were a few customers, two and three people already enjoying their meals. I ordered my usual Special Soy Sauce Set Meal with no garlic, while my friend had the same dish, but with regular garlic. I selected the price on the vending machine, handed it to the staff, and communicated the menu name. The special soy sauce has a sweet, savory, and slightly spicy flavor. When our meal was ready (it was quick!), I was called over to serve my desired amount of rice without leaving any behind, poured miso soup from the machine into my bowl, and filled my side dishes as needed. It was almost all self-service. The Horumon Set Meal is flavorful, so I could enjoy a generous portion of rice with it. My friend was surprised by the appearance of the teppanyaki when it arrived, but after one bite, exclaimed, "Delicious!" The large bowl of rice was completely finished. Other customers also left saying, "It was tasty!" During my last visit, I found items like tongue, heart, hanging tender, white pork entrails, and liver on the menu, but they were no longer available. I had wanted to try them, but there was still teppanyaki liver. While we were eating, about 6 to 7 new customers came in, and with their meals ready, a young man piled his rice high. Wow, impressive! (;゚д゚) Owner, we'll be back again! It was delicious. Thank you for the great meal!
A self-service style restaurant.
Today, I was craving plain white rice. When I think about how well it pairs with a meal, I remembered this restaurant’s special soy sauce set meal with teppan-yaki horumon, and I couldn't resist rushing over. Last time, I had this dish with non-alcoholic beer, but having it with real beer would have been the best. Today, I ordered the set meal. The ticket vending machine works by inserting cash and selecting based on the price. I pressed the buttons for JPY 1000 and JPY 200 to issue my ticket, which I handed to the owner. I asked for it without garlic. Today, I sat at the counter, which only has two seats. When my order was ready, I was called up. At that point, I took only as much rice as I could eat. The miso soup already had dried ingredients in the bowl, so I just poured the soup from the jar. I was able to fill a large rice bowl as much as I wanted. I also grabbed some small side dishes and pickles before heading to my seat. It’s a one-time deal, and refills incur an extra charge. When I visited last fall, they didn’t have items like teppan-yaki liver, tongue, heart, hanging tender, and liver mix, but now they've added more options, including a teppan-yaki menu without white horumon. The customer who came in after me seemed like a regular, as the owner asked, "What about the liver?" to which they responded, "Sure, I’ll have it!" during their conversation. Well then, let’s dig in. The sweet and savory soy sauce is truly delicious. The horumon is tender, and it goes seamlessly with the rice—rice and miso soup are essential for me. I finished it all in no time! After eating, I tidied up. It was delicious. It was a great meal.
A la carte Special Soy Sauce with Non-Alcoholic Beer
This was my second visit. I arrived just before 11 a.m. I was alone at the time, but later, a couple of male customers came in, including the owner of several well-known ramen shops in the area. Both of them ordered extra green onions. I pressed the menu items on the vending machine and handed it to the staff. The a la carte special soy sauce was JPY 1000, and the non-alcoholic beer was JPY 300. Alcohol is served from 14:30. During my last visit, I had the special soy sauce set meal. It had a strong garlic flavor, so I requested less garlic this time. It was delicious, but I thought it would go well with alcohol, so I decided to try this instead. Everything here is self-service. When the horumon is ready, I’m called to choose a rice bowl and serve myself the amount of rice I want, along with miso soup. I take a small bowl from the refrigerator and wait. This time, I took the non-alcoholic beer from the fridge and waited while enjoying it. The service was quick—I didn't have to wait long. My order of horumon arrived at the table. Here goes! The seasoning on the horumon was just right. It pairs well with both rice and beer. Plus, it’s tender and easy to eat. Halfway through, I noticed some mayonnaise in the top right corner. I thought, "Wait, it’s not like a salad comes with this—is this for dipping the horumon?" I tried it, and oh, what a flavor change! It became much more refreshing, albeit with an extra calorie boost. I'm not sure if it was included last time. After finishing the meal, I cleaned up self-service style. Then, the stern-looking owner spoke to me, and when I asked about the mayonnaise, he confirmed it was for flavor variety with the horumon. "Those calories are a lot!" he joked. It was delicious. It was a great meal!

I invited my daughter and came here around 11 am. In the small elevated seating area, three older gentlemen were enjoying some beer while having Horumon Yaki set meals. At the entrance vending machine, instead of my usual special soy sauce, I selected the miso sauce set meal for JPY 1000. I also put in JPY 1000 for my daughter’s salt and garlic set meal. I placed the order verbally with the staff. When it was almost ready, they called out to me, and I helped myself to rice, miso soup, and pickles. The sizzling Teppan-yaki arrived at the table with a sound. First, my miso sauce was a mildly spicy and sweet miso. It was delicious. I should have asked for more rice... As for the salt and garlic set meal, it wasn't very garlicky. For my daughter, who loves garlic, she would have preferred it more robustly flavored. I was satisfied. It was tasty. It was a great meal.
