Staff Meal Rice Bowl
I picked this up for lunch. The Makunai Rice Bowl (JPY 500). The fish pieces may not be suitable for sushi due to their shape, but they taste just as good. I'm so happy I can enjoy delicious fish in the afternoon. There were people waiting at the Takakura main store, but here I didn't have to wait in line, and the prices are reasonable.
Tempura Rice Bowl
I picked up lunch to take home. The tempura rice bowl (JPY 500) came with 2 shrimp, white fish, lotus root, eggplant, bell pepper, and chikuwa (fishcake). Several other types of bento are also available. Additionally, they sell frozen rice bowls and bento, which last longer, so I keep a few stocked in my freezer at home.

I visited Takakura's bento shop for the first time in a while. There was a new product, so I bought it right away. It was the Pork Charcoal-Grilled Bento (JPY 500). I opened it with high hopes. However, there wasn't as much of a charcoal aroma as I expected, and it seemed overpowered by the fat. Since the meat is sliced, I wonder if grilling it until the aroma sets might cause it to burn?
