2025.02 [Visit] Just a 1-minute walk from JR Nishi Hachioji Station. A curry shop conveniently located near the station! I visited on a weekday evening. The restaurant appears to be a refurbished space, reminiscent of a snack bar. The height difference between the tables and chairs felt a bit off, but setting that aside... I ordered the half-and-half of Keema Curry and Chicken Curry for JPY 1,320, and added a chicken drumstick for JPY 220! You can adjust the rice portion and spice level for an additional fee. The curries that arrived were visually stunning, almost like works of art. The Keema Curry was rich and thick, reminiscent of a meat sauce. Mixing in the rich egg yolk made it even creamier. Personally, I prefer a sharper flavor. The highlight was definitely the Chicken Curry! It was an onion curry infused with spices, where the sweetness and richness of the onions were concentrated. The chicken drumstick was tender and flavorful—absolutely delicious. Another standout was the saffron rice, which had a delightful pop and provided the perfect texture to complement the curry. The pickled shallots on the table were crisp and tasty, and the Fukujinzuke (Japanese pickles) had a yogurt-like tang, which was also enjoyable. Unfortunately, the curry was served lukewarm. If I were to visit again, I would consider ordering the Chicken Curry as a single dish with one drumstick.
