I visit this place around 3 or 4 times a year. I use this restaurant as a basis and explore various others, but while there are many drink spots in Tokyo, I rarely come across one that surpasses Yottekesakaba. I made a reservation for 5:00 PM two nights ago and when I arrived at 5:05 PM, I found both the tables and counter were marked as "reserved." This truly emphasizes its popularity, especially on election day! First, I ordered a bottle of beer (Asahi SUPER DRY for JPY 680). Is it okay to say this is an aperitif? While sipping, I glanced at the menu. As I've noticed before, I really want to choose something from the daily recommended menu on the blackboard at the register. 【Grilled Edamame】 The slight char and even sprinkling of salt make this perfect for summer drinking! 【Sashimi of Horse Mackerel】 I was torn between the sashimi platter and this, but when I can savor half the price, I opted for just the horse mackerel. Topped with ginger and myoga, it was refreshing and delicious! 【Now shifting to Kaku Highball for JPY 580】 【Deep-Fried Sardines with Ume (Plum) Paste】 I chose this from the blackboard! This is a must-try. While seasonal factors may play a role, if you see it on the blackboard during your visit, definitely do order it for JPY 550! 【Tamago Yaki with Natto】 I had to wait for this one. Was it because the restaurant was busy, or was it the order in the chef's mind? Either way, once it arrived, all my worries vanished with its deliciousness. 【Tofu Salad】 I forgot to take a picture. I ordered this to cleanse my palate! As expected, it had a refreshing taste and dressing. It was delightful. 【Lotus Root Steak】 I pondered a bit for another dish, deciding between the roasted hamachi collar or the lotus root steak, but I ordered the latter with the thought that dietary fiber is important tonight! Well-cooked and with a great texture, it was the perfect mix. Since it's quite far from my home, I can't come often. But I felt tonight that I will definitely come back again. Also, it's convenient to pay with PayPay! Everything was truly delicious tonight. Thank you, chef, it was a great meal!
