Enya's new specialty! This is the only place in Nakano where you can enjoy katsuo (bonito) grilled over straw. The straw is grilled with a spectacular flame that reaches temperatures of 800 to 900 degrees, allowing the fish to be cooked quickly at high heat. This method concentrates the flavors, instantly searing the surface evenly and locking in the deliciousness of the katsuo. By not cooking it all the way through, the freshness is maintained in excellent condition. Additionally, the smoke and aroma released when the straw burns further enhance the flavor of the ingredients. The fresh oyster festival is also ongoing, with oysters available for just 99 yen!
