This is a fried chicken shop located inside the Metro Center at Nishikasai Station. The interior is small, featuring counter seating and two tables for two, along with a take-away window on the corridor side. I had a good impression of this place from a visit to a different location a while ago, and I remembered they had some great promotions, so I decided to come back after a long time. Until April 3rd, they are offering discounts on four menu items, so I ordered the Karayama Set Meal with four pieces (JPY 825 → JPY 660). As soon as I sat down, the staff brought over a black pot, which seems to contain unlimited salty pickles. The fried chicken comes with four pieces. The crispy and fragrant batter is delicious! Although it’s made from chicken breast, which doesn’t have a juicy burst of meat juice, the dryness wasn’t a concern, and I enjoyed it with two types of sauces. I was also happy to find tororo kombu in the miso soup. It was busy during dinner time, both in the restaurant and for take-out, but the staff operated efficiently, making for a pleasant dining experience. Since it’s in a convenient location, I plan to stop by again when I visit Nishikasai.
