Today's gift is from Azabu Juban Kineya. This Japanese sweets shop specializes in "adult snacks that pair well with alcohol." Inside a fist-sized transparent package, you'll find a selection of bite-sized senbei (rice crackers). Each flavor is printed on a white label, making it a momentary dilemma on which one to choose. There are lotus root chips resembling dried fruits and thick-cut potato chips. Classic options like kaki no tane (persimmon seeds) and curry senbei are also available. The flavors are not overwhelmingly unique, but combinations like mayonnaise butter and peperoncino are sure to create a delightful pairing with drinks. The carry bag is navy blue with a red string, and the outer box features the same colors with a gold imprint. It has a stylish touch that I really like.
