Remarks |
We are open on weekdays from 11:30 to 15:00 with our lunch menu. |
After work, I stopped by Ginza Lion, located directly connected to Shibuya Mark City, for a casual drink. The Ginza Lion in Shibuya 7-chome is famous as the oldest existing beer hall in Japan, known for its retro atmosphere. However, this branch offers a more casual setting to enjoy beer. First, we raised a toast with Sapporo Draft Beer, which is known for its unique "one-pour" technique. As expected, the attention to detail results in a delicious draft beer. Next, we indulged in some typical beer hall snacks designed to pair perfectly with their beer. ☆ Assorted Ham Platter from the Beer Hall Spread liver paste on stone oven cereal bread. This goes great with the beer. ☆ Garlic & Onion Sausage A must-have item at any beer hall. I appreciated being able to order just one. The flavors of garlic and onion shine through, and the sausage is crispy and juicy. At one point, a staff member brought a huge beer mug to our table. I told them we didn't order it, but upon checking the order history, I found out there was a record of a "Special Extra Size" order?! Apparently, I must have accidentally pressed the wrong button on the touch panel when ordering. In light of this, we gratefully shared the liter mug together. Later on, we even received a special coaster as a treat for ordering the "Special Extra Size". ☆ LION Mixed Pizza Loaded with cheese, corn, onions, bell peppers, salami, and black olives, this pizza is bursting with toppings. The crust is fluffy and crispy, evoking a nostalgic Showa era flavor that pairs well with beer. ☆ Butter Soy Sauce Spaghetti with Squid and Shiso As a fan of Neapolitan spaghetti, I requested a Japanese-style stir-fried pasta. The butter soy sauce clings to the thick noodles and combines perfectly with squid, shiso, and nori for an unbeatable combination. We enjoyed the pizza and spaghetti as a kind of closing course, fully immersing ourselves in the beer hall culture. Now, I'm feeling the urge to visit the Ginza 7-chome location again, though it’s probably crowded with inbound tourists. It was a great meal!
