At the Honke Abeya restaurant, located in the basement of KITTE, 2- Chome Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, I had the oyakodon from their banquet course. The oyakodon, made with Hinai chicken, was served as the final dish of the banquet course, and it was delicious! It also came with iburi gakkō. Recently, when I visited Tokyo, I went out for drinks with four colleagues I used to work with in Hokkaido. Unfortunately, the colleague who reserved this restaurant couldn't make it due to a cold, which was disappointing. The course was priced at JPY 5,000 and included unlimited drinks. The beer served was Ebisu, alongside various choices such as imo shochu, mugi shochu, umeshu, highballs, chuhai, and cocktails. The draft beer, Ebisu, was excellent! Here’s a list of what we had: - Sakizuke (two types of appetizers) - 1st Skewered Hinai Chicken Yakitori: Tender and tasty! - 2nd Skewered Hinai Chicken Yakitori (tsukune) - Seasonal vegetables with meat miso. Here’s the meat miso. It was really good with rice as well. - 1st Vegetable Skewers (shishito peppers) - 2nd Vegetable Skewers (ginkgo nuts) - 3rd Skewered Hinai Chicken Yakitori (wing??) Finally, the oyakodon from the beginning was served. The Hinai chicken was delicious. Although it was a short time, I had a great time drinking with my colleagues. Overall, the meal was wonderful. It was a great meal!
