We used this restaurant for a family gathering after a long time. We were looking forward to what dishes would be served. The exterior is charming, resembling a Kyoto-style town house with lanterns, full of character. Upon entering, we were guided to a spacious private room with a table, which was quite helpful for those with knee pain. The room has a lovely tokonoma (alcove) and it seems they have a strong commitment to tea ceremonies and traditional settings, showcasing seasonal themes beautifully. ■ Today's Menu (Course) - White miso blended persimmon - Clear soup with conger eel and matsutake mushrooms - Sashimi: Red clam, anglerfish, kanpachi (amberjack) - Pregnant sweetfish - Grilled sesame tofu - Tempura: Maitake mushrooms, zucchini, seaweed-wrapped soba, and taro - Steamed eel - Shimeji mushroom and chestnut rice with miso soup - Fruits - Chestnut wagashi (Japanese sweets) and matcha ■ Drink Orders - Draft beer - Hayashi Gohyaku Monogatari - Katsukoma Junmai - Imo Shochu with soda, Tomi no Hozan Wow, it was delicious. The seasonal dishes were prepared with great care, featuring ingredients and leaves with autumn colors for a delightful presentation. These types of dishes are very intriguing and enjoyable. Ending with matcha is also a lovely touch. The staff in kimonos provided attentive service. It was a great meal. I would definitely like to visit again.
