Traveling to the countryside allows you to dine at sushi places that are otherwise too expensive in Tokyo and Yokohama. I made a reservation two days ago and arrived with my partner at 12:30 on a weekday. We parked in the dedicated lot next to the restaurant and entered. After telling them our name, we took our seats at the counter and ordered the Premium 11-piece Sushi (JPY 5,500), accompanied by green tea, of course. There were some families, but at that time, there were many solo diners. They seemed more local than tourist. Though I could only see the counter area, it seemed like there were more seats in the back and upstairs. The first floor’s counter was spacious and comfortable. Moving through the meal in the order shown in the photo below, each piece was excellent, but the highlight was the grilled Nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch). I enjoyed its melt-in-your-mouth texture. Next came the shrimp, sea bream, sea urchin, and medium fatty tuna. The red miso soup made from the fish was great, with easy-to-peel flesh that provided a rich broth. My stomach was nicely satisfied by the end. At this price, you certainly can't find anything like this in Yokohama, I said to my partner. The chef was friendly, and it was a great place overall. I'm really glad we decided to come here. It was a great meal!
