On the last Monday of the holiday, the weather finally cleared up, so I took a drive to Sano, known for its outlet mall. It seems the main purpose was more for Sano ramen than the outlet itself. On the way back, I stopped at Hanyu PA due to a bit of traffic. It was still early for dinner, but I thought I might grab a light snack for a break. As I pondered what to have, I noticed a couple sitting next to me enjoying unaju (grilled eel over rice). My stomach wasn't that hungry before, but suddenly it started growling. I saw another person at the table ahead also eating unaju... Unaju at a PA??? I thought, but the enticing aroma left me no choice—I had to order unaju. With the Day of the Eel approaching, it felt like the right decision. Honestly, I never imagined stopping at Hanyu PA to eat unaju. At JPY 2700, it feels rather pricey for PA food. But upon seeing the unaju, I was pleasantly surprised. It might sound rude to say, but it was just as good as the ones you find in the city! At JPY 2700, it could be considered cheap. The eel had a relatively mild sweetness and was deliciously grilled. It was a truly satisfying unaju!
