[b:They are open for dinner only in September, but will start lunch service in October!] 🎶 [b:So, what kind of place is it?] I decided to invite my colleague, [b:“Akira-senpai”], who works nearby, and we went to check it out. [b:Here’s what we drank and ate, for two people.] [u:*Drinks] [b:Sparkling Wine (JPY 800) Highball (Hinoki) JPY 600 Highball (Sakura) JPY 600 Highball (Maple x 2) JPY 600 x 2 Brooklyn Defender IPA (JPY 700)] [u:*Food] [b:Amuse Bouche - Lightly Smoked Octopus (calculated at JPY 500 from the total) Pâté de Campagne (JPY 1200) Omelette with Tomato Curry Sauce (JPY 1400) Kumamoto Red Beef Trippa (JPY 1200)] [b:Our total bill for two was JPY 8700]. The starter, [b:the amuse was sliced smoked octopus], and the [b:black plate looked luxurious]. 🎶 We started with the bistro's classic, [b: “Pâté de Campagne”], which we [b:shared], and it paired perfectly with the bubbly. Next, we had the [b:Kumamoto Red Beef Trippa in Tomato Sauce], paired with [b:a whiskey flavored with maple, hinoki, and sakura], I had the [b:maple], while [b:senpai tried all three varieties]. It was served with soda, so the flavors were subtle, but I think drinking it on the rocks would have made the flavors pop more. In any case, I thought it was a good idea! 🎶 The trippa had honeycomb and garlic, and I enjoyed the richness of the offal. I wanted to try the [b:Brooklyn IPA] which was available for [b:JPY 700 for a half-pint], and I found its unique strong bitterness to be quite addictive! For our third item, we had the [b:omelette topped with tomato curry sauce], which had a keema-style, non-spicy tomato curry sauce. The [b:plain omelette came out perfectly without any burn marks]. [b:As expected from someone who worked at Hotel Okura Tokyo!] 🎶 [b:He worked at Okura until February of this year, and after preparing for the opening, they opened in September.] On that day, there were [b:only the two of us] and a young couple along with a young woman dining solo. I sensed the atmosphere of the restaurant was more for [b:sipping drinks alone at the counter, occasionally with a couple] or [b:relaxing at a table for two], rather than a big loud gathering. [b:It seems like a place for intimate drinking...].

令和7年2月26日(水)・再訪2回目(北本市)
昨年の夏ごろだったか都内はホテル・オークラで15年位を色々な
調理場を廻って独立して地元の北本市の駅近に「ビストロ」を開店
させて、当初はディナーのみでしたが2月に入り火曜日、水曜日に
ランチを始めました♫
ランチ2種類の内容は、サラダ→パスタ→フォカッチャ又はライス
で¥1600、サラダ→マグレカナール季節の野菜のロースト添え
→フォカッチャ又はライスで¥1800です。ノンアコール飲物が
¥200で付けられます♫
このランチ内容は都度、都度に変わるそうでして、単品も何種類か
有りまして、この日は兵庫県相生市から昼に届いたばかりの殻付き
生牡蠣が1個¥600で販売してました♫
で、注文は最初に入荷したばかりの兵庫県相生からの殻付き生牡蠣
を頂いて、その後に「マグレカナール」に、フォカッチャを選んで
ソフトドリンクは¥200で、クランベリージュースをお願いね♫
因みに「マグレカナール」とはフォアグラを取った後の鴨肉でして
素材的にランチに使うのにリーズナブルとされていて重宝です~!
最初に兵庫県相生市の殻付き生牡蛎ですが、オリーブオイルを少々
とレモン汁で頂きましたがシンプルで旨しですよ!!
コース1品目は「気まぐれサラダ自家製ドレッシング」で、ハムは
肩ロースのハム(?)で葉物野菜は何だかエグミが無くて旨いよ♪
マグレカナールはほぼ丸ごとをローストして、ソースは茶系色のを
効果的に使って季節野菜のローストは別調理でオーブンに入れてて
これも季節にぴったりの野菜で炒めではなくて、ローストでしたが
それが効果的でした。カナールの味にはフォカッチャが合うわ~~
一応、ライスも用意してありましたがこの場合は断然パン類が合う
なと感じました。クランベリージュースも瓶からグラスに、移して
ましたが見た事の無い瓶でしたが、酸味が心地良しで、カナールの
脂との相性が良かったです♪
昼のランチメニューが良ければ必然的に夜にも人気が出て来るかと
思うのです。そして、自分の長男と同じ中学の卒業生で年も同年代
なので応援したい店ですね♪
