I visited a café located just one street back from Nakagawa River in Misato City. This place isn’t one you’d drop by on a whim; it's the kind of spot you specifically aim for, and if you miss it, it’s easy to pass by. I arrived just before 14:00, and it seemed that lunch was still ongoing, as the parking space for about five cars across the street was fully occupied. Reluctantly, I moved to a different place, but I couldn’t shake my curiosity! After circling around and trying again around 14:30, a spot opened up. ♪ I parked my car and made my way to the café, where I saw an open terrace on my right with an older gentleman enjoying himself. [What a lovely atmosphere!] Upon entering, I was welcomed by a spacious room with high ceilings, where white walls perfectly complemented the wooden furniture. The warm smiles of the staff also eased my mood. I noticed there was a second floor, but I was told to "please choose any seat you like," so I settled in a sunroom-like small room on the opposite side of the open terrace, surrounded by sunshades. The white low sofa and the play of light and shadow created by the reed screens were inviting... I ordered an iced café latte and cheesecake, while my companion chose homemade ginger ale. After a short wait, our orders arrived. I was already feeling comfortable, basking in the warm sunlight like a cat... haha, in a state of ultimate relaxation! The faint jazz music in the background added to the pleasant ambiance. It was a blissful moment passing by. The cheesecake was delightful, adorned with sliced almonds on the surface, providing a fun textural contrast. The iced café latte had a gentle milky flavor that was very enjoyable. My companion's homemade ginger ale may have looked a bit rustic, but it turned out to be refreshingly easy to drink. We had a wonderful time there. I couldn’t help but notice the quiche while settling the bill, and it looked delicious, so I’ll definitely return for lunch next time. It was a great meal!
