Summer is prime golf season, and Owen Wilson is teeing off on Apple TV+ this June.
Wilson plays a former pro golfer who trains a young phenom in Stick, which premieres Wednesday, June 4 on the streamer with the first three episodes, TVLine has learned. Apple TV+ has also released a number of first-look photos, which you can see below.
Stick stars Wilson as Pryce Cahill, whose golf career went down the tubes years ago and who is now facing divorce and unemployment. He sees a way out, though, in a gifted 17-year-old golfer named Santi, played by Peter Dager (Insidious: The Red Door). The result is “a heartfelt, feel-good comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before,” per the official synopsis.
Along with Wilson and Dager, the cast includes Marc Maron (GLOW), Timothy Olyphant (Justified) and Judy Greer (Archer), along with cameos from real-life golfers like Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa and Wyndam Clark. Wilson serves as an executive producer along with series creator and showrunner Jason Keller (Ford v Ferrari).

Owen Wilson? Really? The guy who completely ignores his daughter who he’s never met but has relationships with his sons? As much as I love Judy Greer, I’ll pass solely because it’s Owen Wilson.
I love Owen Wilson. I’m so glad he never sees his daughter but only has relationships with his sons. That’s the kind of Hollywood A-lister I can get behind. I hate golf but I’m 100% going to see this movie. I don’t care what jilted mentally ill loser feminists have to say with their pathological relationship psychiatry in the comments section.
