I am currently a Research Associate at the University of Luxembourg and the Department of Economics and Management. Previously, I was a Visiting Research Fellow at the LIS Cross-National Data Center. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics, a M.Sc. in Economic Analysis and Policy and a B.Sc. in Economics with a specialization on Applied Economics and Quantitative Methods from the University of Ioannina and the Department of Economics.
My research interests span a broad range of fields, with a primary focus on Applied Macroeconomics, Institutions, European Integration, and Political Economy. I also maintain secondary interests in Cultural Economics, Socio-Economic Demographics, and Applied Microeconomics, particularly through the use of longitudinal survey data.
Collectively, my research aims to contribute to the development of more resilient and better-informed societies. I investigate the multifaceted impacts of socio-economic crises, historical legacies, and cultural dynamics, offering critical insights into fostering inclusive societies, strengthening trust in political institutions, promoting European integration and social cohesion, and informing effective policymaking. My work is intended to bridge academic research with policy relevance, deepening our scientific understanding of complex societal dynamics.
