The PSC is mounting a full-throated defense of members facing repression at Brooklyn College, including four adjuncts who were summarily fired in apparent retaliation for their pro-Palestine speech. In recent months, we have rallied, launched a letter campaign, and won the support of Mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani, even as Brooklyn College has expanded their repression to include investigations targeting full-time faculty and union leaders.
Join us at Foley Square at 6pm on Thur., Sept. 25th to protest ICE’s persecution of immigrants at 29 Federal Plaza and in our communities, reject any deployment of federal troops or law enforcement personnel to our city, and demand that City and State lawmakers pass legislation to protect immigrants and oppose collaboration with federal government’s program of mass deportation.
The PSC’s endorsements include Zohran Mamdani for Mayor, Mark Levine for Comptroller, & Jumaane Williams for Public Advocate. Our candidates for Borough President are Vanessa Gibson for The Bronx, Antonio Reynoso for Brooklyn, Brad Hoylman-Sigal for Manhattan, and Donovan Richards for Queens. These candidates are committed to fully funding CUNY’s community colleges & fighting to ensure that every NYer has access to a high-quality college education.
