Young Adam plot
"Everyone has a past. Everyone has a secret."
Joe finds work on a boat. One day they discover the dead body of a girl in the water. Joe turns out to know more about the girl than he wants to say. Meanwhile, he also falls in love with Ella, who also works on the boat.

The mystery factor was very nice, but the many sex scenes were too much of a good thing, so that I could no longer label the film as "serious". If you are going to place bets in the cinema about how many minutes the next sex scene will come and who the next "victim" will be.....well.

Much better than I expected, this one.
Very good but thin story in a very interesting film of almost 100 minutes. And I think that is nicely done, because not much happened in it, apart from the numerous sex scenes (which I found to fit the film very well, and not at all disturbing).
The acting however takes the film to a whole new level. It is so well acted, especially by McGregor who is great (much better than his performance in stay which I saw earlier today) and Swinton and Mortimer are also very good.
I thought the ending was sublime, and the whole film had a beautiful but grim atmosphere.
a small 4* for this film.
