The Valiant plot
A mysterious drifter accidentally kills a key witness to a crime. He turns himself in under a false name in the hope that this way he can protect his family. When the bum is convicted of the murder, it's big news. A police inspector delves into the drifter's past. Meanwhile, a woman suspects that the bum is her brother.
