Tatsumaki Bugyô plot

Magistrate Saemonojo Toyama no Kinsan investigates a tragic shipping disaster at Cape Kasumigaseki. The ship the 'Sado-maru' carried gold bars from Sado to Edo for the shogunate and disappeared into the ocean in calm weather and clear skies. An unexpected tornado is easily blamed, so Sado's magistrate asks his childhood friend Toyama to get to the bottom of the matter to save his reputation and save him from a lifetime of shame.
