"AUTRY COMES ROARING OUT OF THE SKIES...to save the forests from outlaw lumber ring!"
A deadly insect invasion threatens every tree in the forest and greedy timber merchants want to tear it all down. To prevent the government from saving the trees, they kill the ranger and blame Gene Autry. He is acquitted, but the timber merchants already have a plan to ruin him. The rangers spray the trees so that the insects die, but the next day many other animals are found dead, all having died from poisoning. The trees seem doomed until Autry unmasks the real culprits.
