One of Netflix's most successful original shows of 2025 has been Trainwreck, which focuses on crazy events that took over public consciousness for a short period of time.
The Trainwreck series began in 2022 with Trainwreck: Woodstock '99 (also known as Clusterf**k: Woodstock '99) - a three-part documentary focusing on the chaos of the 1999 version of Woodstock in upstate New York.
An eight-part series was announced for 2025 and seven episodes of that series have aired so far - The Astroworld Tragedy, Mayor of Mayhem, Poop Cruise, The Cult of American Apparel, The Real Project X, Balloon Boy and P.I. Moms.
The eighth and final episode of this series, Storm Area 51, comes to Netflix worldwide on 29th July. It focuses on a group of young people in the United States who attempted to hold an 'alien rave' near Area 51 in Nevada following a Facebook post from a 20-year-old man named Matty Roberts that went viral.

This prompts the US Air Force, FBI officials and the Federal Aviation Administration to strongly advise against anyone illegally trying to access the base, and the Military warns that they stand ready to protect America and its assets with deadly force.
