It’s the third day of New York Fashion Week, and the third consecutive day in which a see-now-buy-now collection has been the talk of the fashion circuit. Today it was Tommy Hilfiger’s collab with Gigi Hadid, celebrated with a giant carnival; yesterday, Thakoon’s layered Fall extravaganza on a rooftop in Dumbo; and a day earlier, Tom Ford’s elegant soiree complete with Oscar winners and backless column gowns. Should those still showing on the original schedule be worried? Not yet—at least because of the buy-now factor. All three aforementioned shows cashed in on the production factor, with sets, celebrities, and various forms of entertainment to keep guests oohing, aahing, and Instagramming into the night. Yes, the clothes were good, but the vibes were equal, if not better, and in today’s social media–obsessed world, that’s the goal.

The idea of good vibes permeated less extravagant shows today, too, from Jason Wu’s new scenery to Baja East’s sweaty summer party. Find those scenes—and more from day three of NYFW—below.

A Change of Pace at Jason Wu
Optimistic intimacy was the name of the game at Jason Wu this afternoon, where the designer traded a stadiumlike setting for a studio filled with mid-century modern furniture. Inspired by the work, Wu embraced bright colors, flirty shapes, and a lightness that will likely have shoppers lining up come March.

Pre-Oscar, the Monse Duo Shows Their Stuff
Monse’s Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia love to take things apart and put them back together not quite right. For Spring, they remade pin-striped suits, paillette gowns, and scarf dresses with a sense of offbeat quirkiness. How will this deconstructionist attitude translate to their new roles as co–creative directors of Oscar de le Renta? You’ll have to wait until next season to see for sure.

Tie-Dye Is Trending
Forget heavy-metal merch—the style of branded T-shirts ruling the streets is hippie at heart. That’s right, tie-dye is back, whether in the form of a Danzig tee in lime green or a sporty cut tank. Even Woodstock embroideries are staging a return on fashion show guests—maybe it’s a tacit declaration that they’re turning on, tuning in, and dropping out to the season’s eclectic styling.

Tommy x Gigi Concluded With Some Taylor x Gigi Love
Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid’s collaborative fashion show had a burger booth, a boardwalk, and a Baldwin on the runway—but that was all upstaged by the appearance of one woman: Taylor Swift. The musician turned up to support her friend at Fashion Week, wearing pieces from the Tommy x Gigi collection to cheer on Hadid from the front row. When it came time for Hadid to take her bow, she reciprocated the favor, mouthing “I love you” to Swift.

Baja East’s Show Heats Up
Yes, it was physically hot at Baja East’s parking garage–set show, but the heat radiating off Teyana Taylor was incomparable to the AccuWeather temperature. The musician and Kanye West collaborator sat front row in a body-baring ensemble to watch the Baja boys’ Burning Man–ready attire. The show ended with a performance by Rae Sremmurd.

Ruffles vs. Ties
It’s time to choose your Fashion Week squad. Team Ruffle consists of Karen Walker and Zimmermann’s boho flou, while Team Ties counts Area’s retro glamourwear and CG’s arty shirts. Pick wisely.
