Just a 5-minute walk from Meitetsu Shibata Station, near Daido Hospital, this udon shop is a great spot for a weekend lunch. I arrived around 11:40 AM, and there were only two other groups of customers in the restaurant, which has 4 counter seats, 4 tables, and 2 tatami rooms. The menu offers a variety of noodles including udon, soba, and kishimen, as well as rice bowls like oyakodon, katsudon, tendon, and sukiyaki don. There are also set meals featuring katsunabe and ebi fry, plus options for udon and rice bowl combinations. I tried the katsudon, which was simple and consisted of just egg and pork cutlet without any onions—perfect for someone like me who isn’t fond of onions in katsudon. The pork cutlet wasn’t thick, but it was just right for this dish; tender and flavorful with just the right amount of fat. The sauce had a sweet taste that I loved, and it soaked into the rice perfectly, making it incredibly delicious. I really enjoyed the katsudon here, so I’d like to try it next time with udon as a set. It was a great meal!
