Dote Katsu
Gifu Prefecture's local specialty, "Dote Katsu." It's so light that I could eat as many as I want. I ordered some cabbage too, and I was happy to find that it came with a dipping sauce called "Dote Dare." *Cabbage refills are free.* Even as someone who doesn't like liver, I enjoyed the liver cutlet. The "Kobore Mabo" had a lovely flavor from the flower pepper, just to my taste. I will definitely visit again. It was delicious! ^^ Thank you for the meal! ^^
Charming and Quirky Atmosphere
I traveled from Tennoji, and chose this restaurant to finish off my day. This is my second visit. [b: Highball (Happy Hour, JPY 110)] × 10 I love how reliably strong it is. [b: Dote Nikomi with Tofu (JPY 143)] × 2 A great recommendation! [b: Dote Kushi Katsu (JPY 143)] × 8 A signature dish. Sprinkle some spice on it for double the flavor. [b: Liver Katsu (JPY 143)] × 2 Wow, what a dish! It's reminiscent of Kentucky Fried Liver. The staff in the hall were both friendly, which was wonderful. Alright, time to head home. Thank you, Enjoy Eco Card. Thank you, Sakaba Ochoobo! It was delicious! ^^ Thank you for the meal! ^^
Gifu Specialty: Dote Katsu
Chiyoho Inari Shrine, located in the southwestern part of Gifu Prefecture, is affectionately known as "Ochoobo-san," and the restaurant name is derived from that. Here, you can enjoy the local gourmet specialty, "Dote Katsu." Unlike Nagoya's miso katsu, this dish isn't topped with Hatcho miso; instead, it is dipped in the sauce used for Dote-ni, presenting a completely different appearance and flavor. [b: Dote Kushi Katsu (JPY 143, tax included)] This is a pork skewered katsu. The crispy batter holds up well against the Dote-ni sauce, allowing you to enjoy several pieces with its light sauce. [b: Dote Nikomi Tofu (JPY 143, tax included)] Perfect as a palate cleanser, The texture of the cotton tofu pairs well with the Dote-ni sauce. [b: Dote Nikomi Horumon (JPY 143, tax included)] This one is simmered in a separate pot. Though I'm usually sensitive to the smell of pork horumon, it was prepared well here and was delicious. [b: Highball (JPY 110, tax included)] *A happy hour price.* It's not diluted! The mug has a marking to ensure consistent strength. The staff in the hall were attentive and impressive, making for an enjoyable dining experience. Everything was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

After watching a rugby match at Yanmar Stadium Nagai, I bought a one-day subway pass. Since I was in the area, I headed to Umeda, of course, to this restaurant. During Happy Hour, I enjoyed a [b:Highball (JPY 110, tax included)]. [b:Dote Kushi Katsu (JPY, tax included)] It was truly delicious. The batter soaked in the dote miso flavor, I could eat as many as I wanted. [b:Leber Katsu (JPY, tax included)] I’m not a fan of liver, but I could eat this one happily! ^^ I was curious about the [b:Negiyaki Soba (JPY, tax included)]. It had plenty of green onions and an egg yolk, it looked fantastic. Was it seasoned with ponzu? The flavor was well-balanced with a nice acidity. The cost performance was great too! ^^ Everything was delicious! ^^ Thank you for the meal! ^^
