Synopsis

Another manga which introduces a connection between 2 seemingly unrelated people and buries the plot beneath a "secretive" backstory. I'll spare you the chatter. The truth is that this manga doesn't offer anything new to the romance genre and is your typical redemption-type romance manga. Trust me when I say that you will not have trouble forgetting this one

Hello everyone! As always, I’ll keep this review brief and to the point.

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure where to begin. The story overall felt quite average—nothing particularly new or groundbreaking. It’s built on familiar childhood tropes, but unfortunately, even those weren't executed well. A lot of plot points were left unexplained, misunderstandings were never addressed, and the emotional maturity of the characters felt lacking, despite them having grown up.

When it comes to character development, there wasn’t much to speak of. While the manga does provide some backstory for the characters, they don't seem to grow or evolve beyond those past experiences. In fact, ...

Mixed Feelings

First of, this is my first non ecchi, erotica, H-manga manga that I reviewed for a while now, so the way I review this ain't the same with how I review those kinds of mangas, in ecchi, erotica and ero, story has only a little influence on how I rate, but here this is a proper drama story, so the story is gonna be a big deal on how I rate this.

Don't really know how I feel about this one, I kinda love it and hate it at the same time, I love it because it kinda portrays the past me, the old me, ... a gloomy loner simp, I hate it because not only that I hate my past self, but also because of that MC's friend, he's really annoying, like come on men, if the dude doesn't want to go with you, don't force him, that dude even resort to blackmailing just for them to "have fun", seriously I hate this "positive" energetic persons trying to push someone who clearly doesn't want do to anything about what that "positive" person wants to do, and then they disguised it as "comedy", if that we're to happen IRL, I would seriously smack that dude if he doesn't leave me alone, I also hate the fact that every little thing they do is like "this brings back memories" or "relieving the past", how convenient is that? also not everything can be solved just because you relieve the past with someone, it ain't making the situation lighter.

The art is incredible, not only the human characters but also the sceneries are well drawn, the story is kinda ok for me "average", I feel like at the half part of manga, the story shifts its focus, from romance to music, reading romance is kinda cringy for me, and music anime or mangas are way too cringy for me to watch/read, the only reason why the story gets average for me is because I relate too much on the MC, without that music crap, the story could be like "good" to me but with that cringy music crap it cancels out and falls down to "average" for me (don't get me wrong, I don't have against music as general, there used to be a time where I was also passionate in music, I played guitar back then, but seeing them as the focus of a show/book is kinda cringy for me, same reasons why I don't watch movies like pitch perfect & step-up, it's not limited to music, dancing medias too are cringy for me, same reason why I don't have tiktok and don't watch it).

The characters are pretty bad to me, I love and hate the MC, love it because most of his ideology reflects the past me, hate him because he's too spineless, coward and simp, I kinda hate the FMC because she's kinda have a tsundere attitude & I hate tsunderes, I hate the male support character, he's too pushy and wants to always force himself in other's matter, overall the characters gets a 4 for me.

Art style is a 7, story is a 5, characters is a 4, ending felt rushed to me, though it's not new, romance with a heavy drama always in any media uses this kind of method, so ending is a 4 for me. Overall, I rate this a 5.
